This blog is an interactive tool for international students enrolled in my ESL courses. It is used to communicate with my students and to encourage interaction regarding students' Academic and Business English interests and language needs.

I am a deaf (hearing impaired) "adult" learner. I am enrolled in a second degree program in Translation (French to English). I am also an instructor of English as a Second Language (ESL), and have taught English for Academic Purposes (EAP), and English for Specific Purposes (ESP) such as business English. I began to lose my hearing as a young adult, and wear two digital hearing aids which help me a lot in managing day-to-day the communication challenges of a deaf person. I also understand the challenges of being a second language learner. As a young adult I attended university in Québec, and immersed myself in the French language. I have lived and worked in Montréal in bilingual settings - and used my French language skills outside of Québec. I love languages, writing, and communicating!
